Submission FAQ
Do you recommend that I submit only my home page so that the search
engines can spider all the internal pages, or do you recommend that I
submit all the individual pages in my site?
Submitting only your home page is a slower way to get listed compared to
submitting all pages. On the other hand, some search engines will
temporarily rank submitted pages lower compared to pages they find on
their own.
If you submit only the home page, make sure it contains links to all
the sub pages in your site or to a sitemap with links to all pages. You
should use regular text links for this purpose. Search engines are not
able to read a fancy script based navigation menu. If you choose to submit
all sub pages, carefully follow the directions from each of the search
engines so you don't submit too many pages in one go. One page per day is
generally a very safe submission rate. Some search engines ask that you
only submit the home page.
Another option to get all your pages listed quickly is paying for
inclusion. Many search engines now offers special paid inclusion programs
offering fast inclusion and regular re-spidering off all pages in your
site. This can very useful in order to quickly measure the ranking effects
of changes you make on your site.
For Google you can use the new sitemap
protocol to submit all pages within your site.
With any site, make sure you obtain a Google Index key from Google and submit a sitemap to Google. If any of this is unclear to you, remember it is included in our GOLD PRO Complete Submission.
My site has been listed in Google for quite a few months and had
obtained excellent rankings. However, a couple of days ago none of the
pages in my site were listed! Should I resubmit?
There are normally two reasons why your site removed from a search engine:
1.) You might have done something to trigger the search engine spam
filters. Make sure you follow the search engine guidelines very carefully
and don't do anything they don't approve of.
2.) Your site might have been down while the search engine spiders
tried to spider. Sites that are not found are dropped from the index. To
make sure your site stays up at all times, use a free site monitor
service:

Other reasons for your site being dropped can be changes in the search
engine algorithms, technical errors, a malformed robots.txt file, noindex
metatags or banned IP address (your site can be banned caused by other
sites out of your control sharing the IP address with your site).
So before you resubmit your site, make sure it is free of spam, hosted by
a reliable web host with guaranteed uptime and unique IP addresses for
each site. Check that no errors are made in the robots.txt file, and make
sure you are not using the noindex meta tags where it's not supposed to be
used.
